Sadly, there are only a few more days of summer. School is starting pretty soon. Got the end- of summer- blues? Try this!
End of summer celebration for the day before school starts!
This is a tradition my sister and I have been doing for three years!
- Write a list of about 15 things that get you moving. (Ex: dancing, races, etc.) Then do them! Try to make them last through out the whole day. My sister and I do obstacle courses, races, sing, dance, squirt guns....the point is to cram as many fun things as you can do in one day before school starts.

Strawberry toes forever
Do you love strawberries?
Then this is a perfect tutorial for you.
I'm going to show you how to make your big toe look like a strawberry! I got this idea from a girl named Bubz who's on YouTube. She is amazing with makeup, nails, and hair! Check her YouTube channel out, you won't be sorry...here's her strawberry video: CLICK HERE!
You will need:
Red nail polish
White nail polish
Green nail polish
Glittery nail polish
Top coat nail polish
1) Start with clean toe nails.
2) Paint all your nails red.
3) Now, on your big toes, make dots...then start rounding them and making them look like leaves.
4) Below the leaves, add white dots for the strawberries. Two or three look best.
5) On the leaves, add glittery nail polish. This makes them pop a little more.
6) Apply top coat on all nails.
7) Let dry.
8) LOVE!

Switched at Birth--New TV show review
Switched at Birth on ABC Family
This show is about two girls: Bay and Daphne. When they were born, the hospital made a mistake when putting on their ankle bracelets showing who's baby was who's.
16 years later..
Bay's family finds out. They look for the family that has their real daughter, and finds them. Bay and Daphne now have two families, and they're stuck trying to figure out what to do.
A show full of secrets, lies, relationships, and drama...Switched at Birth I strongly recommend.
Watch it every Monday on channel 39 (ABC Family) at 9 P.M.

How to make button bracelets!
I started making button bracelets in 5th grade, and I've loved making things out of buttons for my friends, family and for me ever since. Lots of people are always asking me how I make button bracelets. Well, I'm going to show you how. It's not hard at all!
You will need:
buttons
Stretch Magic bead and jewelry cord (5 meters)
scissors
Step 1: Pick out some cool buttons!
Step 2: Cut the cord pretty long
Step 3: Weave the jewelry cord into two holes
Step 4: Repeat this step with all your buttons
Step 5: Put your bracelet around your wrist. If you were to tie it, does it fit?
Step 6: Make knot
Step 7: Cut extra cord
Step 8: Wear, and enjoy!

My Spring Break favorites
Here's what I am wearing this Spring Break!
Clinique long lasting glosswear: pink, fun, lasts a long time, and very spring-like!
You can pretty much get this anywhere, even Fred Myer.
Jean jacket: Goes with everything. You can wear this to a trip to the beach this spring break, or even a trip to the park with your friends.
I got my jean jacket at Old Navy.
Flowered heart locket: So spring! Are you a sentimental girl? Then this is a great piece of jewelry for you.
I got this at Forever 21.
Crazy bracelets: Well, I always wear these...but I love wearing a ton when there is no school! These my crazy friend gave me. :) Check out her awesome blog, bl((TAM-TAM))og...it's in my favorite blogs gadget on the right hand side of DottyZine.
Have a great Spring Break!

My new favorite band!
There is a new boy band, called The Wanted. They are British-Irish, and they are soo funny, and really good singers! Their music videos I really like, because they are always singing somewhere new...on a different set. My favorite song by them is called All Time Low. Here is a link to it.
The Wanted members are: Jay, Nathan, Tom, Siva, and Max. The Wanted makes funny YouTube videos that always make me laugh! They dance, make jokes, and just play around while filming. Here is a link to their awesome YouTube channel. If you like the bands Vertical Horizon, or Owl City you will LOVE The Wanted.

What am I reading?
Lately, I have been reading some really great books! I wanted to tell you about a few. The first one is called This is Me From Now On, which is a great book about a girl who becomes friends with her neighbor, who is really outgoing and funny. At first, the main character isn't so sure about her new neighbor, but throughout the book they really get to know each other, and become good friends.
Another book I read that I liked was called Lucky T. It's about a girl who is in highschool, and has a t-shirt that she believes give her good luck. One day, her mom accidently donates it to a charity that goes to India! And what do you think Carrie, the main character does? She runs after it, heading to India.
These are some really great books for teenagers. Check them out!

Dotty's theme for February
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Dotty's theme for February is...
Make your own, clever Valentines!
All you need is some construction paper, glue, scissors, and doilies...and a little bit of thought.
First you cut out the heart, and attach the doilie. You can use this heart as a stencil for your other Valentines. Then you write a clever little comment on your Valentine, and attach a candy that goes a long with it. Examples I made up myself: "I'd be so JOLLY if you were my Valentine!" (attach a Jolly Rancher candy), and "See you at 'Reeses' (recess), Valentine!" (attach a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup candy.)
Decorate, add stickers, or sparkles, and you have your own clever Valentines that are EASY to make!
Have a good Valentine's Day!

Dotty's theme for January!
Oh my goodness! It's 2011!
Dotty's theme for January is...
A fun craft!
I have been doing a lot of crafts lately. I wanted to share my favorite one I did!
Button hair barretts - I made these for my friends as their Christmas presents. It's super easy! All you have to do, is buy some bobby pins at a craft store with a little disk at the end (this is so the buttons will stay on the pin) choose your favorite buttons, and super glue them on. It looks great when you layer buttons, too.
Check out these pictures of some I made!
