I can't believe that it's already Summer! If you are home, and bored, here are five things you could do in this awesome Summer time!
-Get outside. And do what?
*Invite a friend near by to shoot some hoops.
*Ride your bike up and down your block 10 times.
* Teach yourself to do a sport...like badminton. See if you can keep the birdy in the air.
* Do a sidewalk chalk art show.
-Play a game indoors, if it's rainy.
*Sorry!
* Uno.
*Marbles.
* Dress up with a sibling, pretending one of you is the king or queen.
-Read!
* The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor. (Based on Alice in Wonderland. It's a series that will keep you reading. I would rate it 10/10.)
*The Cupcake Queen by Heather Hepler. (A girl moving from New York, to Hog's Hollow, trying to adjust. Great. 10/10.)Have a great Summer!
We have a new DottyZine mascot!!! We did have Lola, the alien, as our mascot for a while, but now, we have DOTTY...the stuffed hamster! Be looking all over DottyZine for her. She may pop up every once and a while! She could be hiding...
You may notice that Dotty looks a little different. I am just trying out some new looks for DottyZine, to see what looks best. Don't worry...it's still DottyZine!

Dotty's theme for June is...

Is Coco, who recently passed away after living for only seven months.
Coco was a very friendly hamster who loved her ball, and eating food. She only bit me once, but it was only kind of a nibble, which was nice of her.
Rest in peace, dear Coco. Say hi to Dotty for me?

I just finished the first book in the series, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I absolutely LOVED this book. I couldn't put it down for one minute! It's my new favorite! I recommend it for ages 12-14. It's great. It's about a group of girls who are best friends. They have to spend a Summer apart, so they mail each other back and forth, these pants that magically fit perfectly on all of them. The main point of the book is them learning about themselves, while they are in the Pants. they also came out with a movie of this book that I am DYING to go see! Here is the link to the movie trailer.
