HI! Since chicken updates were so so popular on DottyZine, I thought I would make a second blog all about my crazy hens. It's called Living With Chickens, and it has a lot of videos and cool posts. I am still working on it, but it's going to be GREAT!

Dotty jewelry!

I LOVE crazy bracelets. I wear like three everyday. My two favorites are one that is made out of dice, that was given to me by my BFF Catherine, and the other that I made, that is made out of buttons. I like to add things to them, too. Like charms! Don't be afraid to show who you are! That's my motto.

THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS NOT FRIGHTFUL, IT'S FREEZING!!!!!!!!

It's so cold outside, our chickens need a heating lamp in their coop! They have been whining a lot lately, too. They are cold! Good thing they have so many feathers. We broke a record last night of 14 degrees farenheit!!! Woah!!!!!! I think the chickens need little booties. What do you think?

Dotty's theme for December!

The Flip video is really popular right now! They have great video, and great sound. They come in some pretty awesome colors to. It's also so small, it's portable! You could take it on a trip to get some awesome quality video. It holds about 2 hours! Wow!

Dotty's theme for November!

Is, Twilight! I am reading the series for the first time right now, and they are absolutely amazing! Some people say: "what is so great about them?" but they are really great! I couldn't put down Twilight, or New Moon, and right now I am addicted to the third one, Eclipse! These are highly recomended for tweens and teens. (And adults!) And, I am sure you know, they made a movie out of the first two books! Here is the trailer for both. Just click...

Dotty says...this is a great craft book!

Today I bought, "Tear Up this Book" an American Girl craft, stencil, and sticker book. It's so fun! There are so many cool ideas of things to do when you are bored, or just want to have fun anytime. My sister and I love it. The book has funny stickers to stick anywhere, folding fun, and even how to make up your own language with a friend!

I got a new hamster!!!!
Her name is Coco!!!

Dotty got new birds!

Hey everyone, Sophie here. Guess what? I got two PARAKEETS! I am so excited! Their names are Lewis (right) and Pete (left). I will let you know more news about them as they get older. Now, I can tell you about my chickens, AND my parakeets! I LOVE BIRDS!

Dotty's Book Review!

Today, I am reviewing a book, that is really awesome! It's called The Cupcake Queen.

This book is highly recommended for tweens and teens. It's about a girl named Penny, her mom Elizabeth, her Grandma, and her new friend Tally..and some other friends too along the way. Penny just moved to Hog's Hollow, and she is not to excited about it. She wants her "old life" back, with her dad and mom together again. Her mom and dad needed a "break" from each other, so they separated for a while. Then, her mom opened a bakery named The Cupcake Queen.

I give this book a 10/10! It's captivating if you love books about real people. I can't put it down!

Dotty's theme for October...

THRILLER! The famous song by the ONE AND ONLY, Micheal Jackson. (R.I.P!) MJ was an awesome dancer and singer, but he had sorta a messed up life. I am hoping he is having a better life up in the sky! :) Thriller was released on November 30, 1982, and ever since, it has been incredibly POPULAR! Here is a link to the AWESOME music video. Dotty's theme for September...

is World Wide Day of Play! The 26th of September, was the official day for The World Wide Day of Play! Don't know what that is? Well, it's when (if you have digital cable) channel 40, A.K.A. Nick, shuts their whole channel down to tell you to get outside and be active. Turn off the T.V! Put down those video game controllers! Shut down that computer! Switch off your iPod! They run a message across the screen telling you this. I think it is a great way to get kids' butts moving. There are so many unhealthy kids that don't go outside these days. Good idea, Nick channel! Dotty's favorite actor had a birthday!

Happy 40th birthday Jack Black!!! August 28th was his birthday, and he was born in 1969. The big four zero. Wowzers. Congrads Jack!

Is Emily and Fiona! They are girls on YouTube who aren't very popular, but I think they are absolutely AMAZING and I want to recognize them! One plays the Guitar amazingly, and one sings amazingly! Dotty news

Oh my gosh! Did you hear? There is a rumor about the hit Nick show iCarly BEING CANCELED! The show stars Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) who makes a webshow that becomes famous. Some people interviewed Nathan Kress, who is Freddy on iCarly and he is the one who said that the show was being canceled. Is it true? Some people were saying that is was confirmed cancelled, others were saying that on Twitter, the producer said Nathan was kidding. Will we ever know????

Dotty's news on "Year One" the new movie

I saw it, just because JACK BLACK is in it!I thought the idea was dumb...but that is just me. Check out the picture of Jack Black as a cave man) There are 2 cave mans in this movie who have an adventure! It got C-, which makes me mad because Jack Black is in it, but the MOVIE kinda deserved it. But as long as it has Jack in it, I DON'T CARE!

Dotty's theme for May

Here is something my mom wrote and emailed to people:

Spring 2007- May 4, 2009



Our beloved Dotty, age 2+, died in her sleep last night of natural causes. She had been ailing for several weeks but last night it was clear that the end was near. Her family declared that she was on "Hamster Hospice" and gathered around her cage to offer warm wishes for her journey to Hamster Heaven. She died a few hours later.

Dotty was born in early 2007 and adopted very soon thereafter by her human family. She was a warm, furry, adventure-seeking hamster who loved sunflower seeds, yogurt, peanut butter and fresh vegetables. She loved to escape from her cage and explore her home whenever possible. In 2008, she escaped her accidentally unlocked cage during the night and explored the entire upstairs of her home. Greg awoke after midnight and thought he saw a sock moving very quickly across his bedroom floor. It turned out to be the impetuous Dotty, on the run! She begrudgingly returned to her cage without causing a scene.

In 2008, Dotty's owners put her in her rolly ball for playtime. She managed to roll her ball down the stairs, pop open the lid and escape again. Her little-girl owners called her name repeatedly. After about 5 minutes of searching, they heard a familiar squeak and found Dotty comfortably seated inside Sophie's American Girl backpack. Dotty returned to her cage, again without incident.

While she lived in her cage, Dotty enjoyed barking (yes, hamsters can make little barks!) at 10 p.m. nightly to let everyone know it was playtime, running on her wheel, moving her little house back and forth across her cage with her nose, and standing up on her hind legs to show her owners how cute she was. While on excursions out of her cage, Dotty liked to play "run through the tunnel" up her owner's sleeves, and tickle her owners' faces with her whiskers.

One of Dotty's proudest moments in life was when Sophie named her blog for this beloved pet-- www.dottyzine.blogspot.com

Dotty is survived by Sophie, Flora, Greg and Teri, who all miss her very much. She was preceded in death by hamsters Fluffy and Peaches.
